Q1. What is Parent-Child e-Link?
A1. “Parent-Child e-Link” is a parenting e-Newsletter prepared by the Family Health Service of the Department of Health. It provides parenting information to help you better understand your child’s developmental needs at different stages and to learn effective parent-child communication skills. This will enhance your confidence in taking care and guiding your child, and support you in nurturing a healthy and happy child.

Q2. Why is the Verification Code entry always incorrect?

A2. The Verification Code is case-sensitive. Please check that you have entered the upper- and lower-case letters exactly as shown. You may click the green arrow icon (as shown in the picture above) to refresh the Verification Code and try entering the new one.

Q3. How do I know if I have successfully registered?
A3. After registration, you will receive a confirmation email. Please follow the instructions in the email to activate your account. You will then receive the first issue of the “Parent‑Child e‑Link” e-Newsletters tailored to your child’s age.

Q4. What should I do if I have forgotten the password of my account?
A4. You can reset your password by following these steps:
- Go to the “Parent-Child e-Link” homepage
http://parentelink-uat.familyhealthservice.gov.hk/member/welcome.html
- Click the <<Login Page>> button
- Click the <<Forgot Password>> button
- Enter your e-mail address and click <<Confirm>>button. A message will appear on the screen: “Password reset email will be sent to your email address within 10 minutes”
- When you receive the password reset email, click the <<Click Here>> link in the email to reset your password

Q5. If I have already registered for one child, do I need to register again for another child?
A5. No. Simply log in to your existing account and add your other child’s date of birth. You will then receive the“Parent‑Child e‑Link” e-Newsletters tailored to that child’s age.

Q6. Why can’t I see the e-Newsletters properly on my computer/mobile phone?
A6. This may be due to system maintenance or updates, or because your browser does not meet the minimum requirements. The “Parent-Child e-Link” website and its web-based applications require one of the following browsers (minimum versions or above):
- Internet Explorer 7.0 or latest
- Firefox 3.5 or latest
- Chrome 10.0 or latest

Q7. I have accidentally cancelled my subscription to the “Parent-Child e-Link”. How can I re-subscribe to the e-Newsletters?
A7. Simply log in to your account within 60 days of unsubscribing and select <<Yes>> under “E-Newsletter Subscription”. You will then resume receiving the “Parent-Child e-Link” e-Newsletter.
